Why playing the source video first helps Stream Katcher detect it.
The recording initially shows no detected media on Reddit. Start the source video and give the page a moment to request its media. An empty list before playback does not necessarily mean that the clip cannot be detected.
After playback begins, check the Stream Katcher panel again. Review the preview, select the matching clip, and choose Download while keeping the Reddit tab open.
The walkthrough ends by opening the downloaded video in QuickTime. Playing the local file is a useful final check that the download contains the clip you expected.
Only download content you have permission to save. Support depends on the website and media format; DRM-protected content is not supported.
